about

We recorded this song in our rehearsal space with just one microphone. We wanted to capture the feeling of a laid-back jam, like something you'd hear at a campfire.

lyrics

I succumb to you
You succumb to me
We fall into bed
Our shoes still on our feet
Of all the ways it goes
All the ways it goes
Why not this way
Well I give-in to you
So damn easily
But why would I refuse
When you've got the sweetest honey
Of all the ways it goes
All the ways it goes
Why not this way

You say I'm not right for you
But what am I supposed to do
When everything was fine on the weekend

To hold your body is
To hold the master plan
May be an animal
But hey baby I'm your man
All the ways it goes
All the ways it goes
Why not this way

You say I'm not right for you
But what am I supposed to do
When everything was fine on the weekend

Hearts will fall apart
That's the way it goes
People run away
Almost every day
So regrettable
Unavoidable
Not much we can do
But I hate to see it happen to me and

You say I'm not right for you
But what am I supposed to do
When everything was fine on the weekend
I say I'll make time for you
I know just what you're going through
But everything will be fine on the weekend

about

EXCUSE ME. Guelph, Ontario

Excuse Me is Adam Kuhrt, Aleks Liskauskas, Dylan Creed, Heyden Reay, and Jo Seymour; a five-piece alternative rock group. The band formed at the University of Guelph in 2017 and developed a strong local following shortly thereafter.

We started our journey practicing in a cramped bedroom space, and somehow ended up in an even smaller one; but our dreams have never been bigger.
